Yes, honestly, people are talking about it already and preparations are under way to make this yet another successful year for Wooler Golf Club and all the members! This Year the Gents will start their campaign on Saturday 29th March (Make A Note Of That In Your Diaries!), followed closely Sunday 30th March for the Ladies! Come and join them on those days - start as you mean to go on and support Martin and Pam throughout the season!
With spectacular scenery taking in Berwick to the North, the sea and Lindisfarne to the East and looking out to the Cheviot Hills over the Glendale Valley and beyond the Borders into Scotland, this 18 tee, Par 72 course occupies the high ground known as Dod Law.



WELCOME TO WOOLER GOLF CLUB

Wooler Golf Club is situated just off the B6525 Wooler to Berwick road, at the village of Doddington, some 3 miles North East of Wooler. This 9 hole 18 tee, par 72 course occupies the high ground known as Dod Law.

With three par 3 and three par 5 holes the 6411 yardage from white tees offers a stern challenge to all classes of golfer trying to match the S.S.S. of 71.

The Ladies course, approved by the Ladies Golf Union, is 5,071 yards, par 71 and is also played from 18 tees.


Fairways and greens are in superb condition all year round and certainly within the last 6 years Wooler Golf Course has only been been closed a handful of times. Even throughout the winter, temporary tees are used but the greens remain in play.

Visiting single, group and Society golfers can be accommodated and catered for on any weekday and most weekends with a warm welcome extended to all. Fees of £15 per weekday and £20 per weekend/Bank holidays must surely represent one of the best value for money courses in the country.

Membership is open to all golfers at £220 for full, £125 for Senior Citizens and £25 for junior members with no joining fee at present. For the non golfer a variety of wildlife are resident on the course and for those who like to walk, then what better than to be situated on the boundary of the Northumberland National Park which enables visitors to feel a sense of adventure and solitude.
